Nampalys Mendy and Ryan Bertrand will not be involved in any European conference ventures, leaving both players out of the 24 to play in Europe.

It’s a strange way to deal with professional footballers as UEFA doesn’t need such a list, the Premier League could also allow more players and a full squad to be included as long as they also work with an ab list, and if a club wants to include 30 players they should be allowed.

Ryan Bertrand is currently out injured and Nampalys Mendy is off again with James Justin and Wesley Fofana named on the A list, making it yet another setback for the Senegal international.

First up is Randers home and away, hopefully a good run will be set and could that be any reason the club just have this tournament to look forward to this season, with the Forest FA Cup indented as hard to swallow.

Looking forward is the only way to deal with setbacks and hopefully Leicester can shake off and move forward with Europe still an option.

The conference might be considered the little league among European competitions, but you’ll find some major teams here with last year’s Europa League opponents Slavia Prague. Marseille, PSV Eindhoven, PAOK, Midtjylland, Fenerbahce, Sparta Prague and Celtic are also present, so not a walk in the park for anyone.

If you manage to pass these play-offs, other teams such as Roma, FC Copenhagen, Rennes, Basel, Feyenoord, Gent and Lask Linz are the winners of their groups waiting at the next hurdle.

Leicester could beat all of these teams, but to win this tournament you have to be at your best and it will also be a very historic title to win because you will be the first to do so.

We hope for the best with enthusiasm, hope that it will end in beauty.
